How to crochet the heel on a sock


In this DROPS video we show how crochet a heel on a sock.

You can crochet as follows:

US-English
ROW 1 (= RS): Crochet given no of sc then dec 1 sc by working 2 sc tog, turn piece.
ROW 2 (= WS): Crochet until same no of sc’s remains on this side as it did on previous side, dec 1 sc, turn piece.
ROW 3 (= RS): Crochet until 1 st rem on last row, dec 1 sc by working last sc on row + next sc from 1st row tog, turn piece.
Repeat row 3 until all sts on each side of the middle have been worked into the heel.

UK-English
ROW 1 (= RS): Crochet given no of dc then dec 1 dc by working 2 dc tog, turn piece with 1 ch.
ROW 2 (= WS): Crochet until same no of dc’s remains on this side as it did on previous side, dec 1 dc, turn piece with 1 ch.
