Let me show you an easy method on how to create a child theme in WordPress! Check the free plugin I used in the video called “Child Theme Configurator” ► https://wordpress.org/plugins/child-theme-configurator/
🤔 ABOUT THIS VIDEO 👇
A WordPress child theme gives you a safe way to customize your WordPress theme’s code. If you want to make direct edits to your theme’s CSS, HTML, or PHP, you should absolutely use a WordPress child theme. Otherwise, you might lose your changes the next time you update your theme.
When you make modifications to the child theme, they are kept separate from the parent theme’s files. What’s more, any modifications that you make to the child theme will take precedence over the behavior in the parent theme.
It’s important to note that a child theme will not function by itself. It must be installed alongside the parent theme.
When you install a child theme, you’ll be able to see that it’s connected to the parent theme in the WordPress dashboard.
