Personally, we believe that West Ham are at an uncomfortable crossroads. On the other hand, letting go of their most talented player, just when Graham Potter needs to strengthen an inconsistent squad, may sound like a step backwards. On a sporting level, losing him weakens the engine room of a team that does not have many players like him. The club need more quality between the lines, not less.
