In a recent report, UOL<\/a> mentioned that Manchester United are keeping a keen eye on Botafogo keeper John Victor. It has been stated that the Red Devils are showing interest in recruiting the Brazilian goalie this summer.<\/p>\n

Victor\u2019s Impressive Form In Brazilian Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Victor has enjoyed a solid career at the Brazilian club after he put in a lot of impressive displays for them over the past couple of years. The 29-year-old has conceded 66 goals and earned 32 clean sheets in 79 matches for his current employers last season across various competitions.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian sensation has proven his worth as a solid goalkeeper in the Brazilian Serie A. He was even tidy when distributing possession from the back after making 80.8% of his attempted passes in the top tier of Brazilian football (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at Botafogo will expire at the end of 2028. Thus, it won\u2019t be easy for Man United to snap him up on a cut-price deal this off-season.<\/p>\n

Should Manchester United Boss Ruben Amorim Get Victor On Board?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Victor can be a safe pair of hands in between the sticks when he is playing with confidence on the field. He is a solid handler of the ball and can use his quick reflexes to make some important saves at the back for his team.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian talent is a good distributor of the ball as well. Standing at 1.97m, he is a strong presence in the air as well and doesn\u2019t hesitate to come out to collect crosses and loose balls inside his penalty area.<\/p>\n
