In a recent report, Football.London<\/a> claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have identified Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke as a target for this summer transfer period. It has been stated that Spurs are working on a deal to bring the English forward to North London this off-season.<\/p>\n

Solanke\u2019s Impressive Record In Premier League Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Solanke enjoyed a decent campaign at the English club as he put in a series of productive displays for them in the Premier League. The English talent found the back of the net 21 times and secured four assists in 42 matches for the Cherries last season in multiple competitions.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old led the line well for Bournemouth based on his average of 2.9 shots, 1.0 key passes and 1.0 dribbles per game in the Premier League. However, he needs to work on improving his link-up play up top, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 73.7% in the English top flight (stats via whoscored<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at the Vitality Stadium will run out in the summer of 2027 which could make it difficult for Spurs to sign him on the cheap later this year.<\/p>\n

Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Angelos Postecoglu Snap Solanke Up This Summer?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Solanke is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in on target. He has proven himself to be a decent finisher in front of the opponent\u2019s goal and can create the odd chance for his teammates in the final third. The English sensation can even make a few clever runs with the ball up top. However, he has to find a way to improve his link-up play on the offensive end of the field.<\/p>\n

We can expect Solanke to inject more firepower into Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> boss Angelos Postecoglu\u2019s frontline. He might even go on to form a productive attacking partnership with Heung-min Son<\/a> at the North London club<\/a> in the coming seasons.<\/p>\n

At 26, Solanke is about to enter his prime which makes him a worthy target for Spurs to consider this summer. He already knows the Premier League well and won\u2019t take much time to settle into life at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium<\/a>.
