In a recent report<\/a>, former Manchester United<\/a> chief scout Mike Brown claimed that Liverpool wide player Luis Diaz is on the radar of Barcelona<\/a> this summer. Brown said,<\/p>\n

\u201cBarcelona are targeting a move to sign Luis Diaz.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s attracting a lot of interest, so Liverpool are preparing to receive offers for him.<\/p>\n

\u201cBarca missed out on Nico Williams, so I expect they\u2019ll return to Liverpool to test the waters and see if they get any encouragement over the deal.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve spoken before about Liverpool\u2019s attacking options and Slot still wants to strengthen there.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf Diaz leaves, they\u2019re going to be forced to go and spend on a new option.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that\u2019s something they\u2019ll be open to, but then it will depend on whether Barcelona are willing to pay what they\u2019re going to be asking for.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve been looking at Rashford too, maybe a loan deal for him, so he\u2019s not their only option.<\/p>\n

Diaz\u2019s Impressive Season At Merseyside<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Diaz enjoyed a good run of form for the Merseyside club in the previous campaign when he put in a string of impressive displays on the left side of their attack. The 28-year-old scored 17 times and earned eight assists in 50 appearances for the Reds<\/a> last season across various competitions.<\/p>\n

The Colombia international did well to average 2.66 shots per 90 minutes in Premier League<\/a> football. He kept 42.3% of his attempts on target. Diaz was even tidy when distributing the ball in the final third, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 84.2% in the English first division (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Should Liverpool Boss Arne Slot Cash In On Diaz?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Diaz is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and can use his pace to make a few dangerous runs with the ball in the final third.<\/p>\n

The Colombian talent can shoot the ball with power from long range and has got the vision to engineer some promising chances for his teammates on the offensive end of the field.<\/p>\n

Diaz remains one of the first names in Liverpool boss Arne Slot\u2019s teamsheet. Hence, the Reds would be wise not to cash in on him unless they receive a massive offer for his services this summer.<\/p>\n
