In a recent newsletter<\/a> with Give Me Sport, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed that Arsenal remain keen on recruiting Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze this summer. Romano said,<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, but Eze is higher on their (Arsenal) list and Simons is currently in advanced talks with Chelsea.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eze\u2019s Impressive Form In The Premier League<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The English playmaker put in a string of impressive performances for the Eagles in the previous campaign. Eze managed to shine for Crystal Palace<\/a> in the final third after he registered 14 goals and picked up 11 assists in 43 matches for them last season across various competitions.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old was a reliable performer up top and did well to average 3.48 shots per 90 minutes in Premier League<\/a> football. However, he kept only 27% of his attempts on target. Eze distributed the ball relatively well as he completed 74.2% of his attempted passes in the English top tier (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Eze\u2019s current deal at Selhurst Park will expire in the summer of 2027. Thus, the Gunners would have to make a convincing offer if they want to lure him to the Emirates Stadium this off-season.<\/p>\n

Should Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta Move In For Eze?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Eze can shoot the ball with venom from long range and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet. He has got the eye to play some killer passes in the final third and can chip in by scoring a handful of important goals for his team.<\/p>\n

The England international has got a wealth of experience in the Premier League and won\u2019t take much time to settle into life at Arsenal<\/a>. Furthermore, he could go on to form a creative partnership with Martin Odegaard at the London club.<\/p>\n

Eze would inject more quality and depth into Mikel Arteta\u2019s frontline. He is more than capable of nailing down a regular first-team spot at the North London club next season.<\/p>\n

At 27, Eze is about to enter his prime which makes him a worthy target for the Gunners to pursue in this transfer window. He might even help Arsenal compete for a lot of major honours over the next few years.
