In a recent report<\/a>, journalist Rudy Galetti mentioned that Liverpool have identified Red Bull Leipzig wide player Antonio Nusa as a target. It is understood that the Reds are eyeing a move to secure the services of the Norwegian talent this summer.<\/p>\n

Nusa\u2019s Impressive Form In German Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Nusa enjoyed an impressive season at the German club after he put in a string of eye-catching performances for them in the final third. The 20-year-old found the back of the net five times and earned eight assists in 40 matches for RB Leipzig last season in various competitions.<\/p>\n

The Norwegian wide player was a decent performer in the opponent\u2019s half as he averaged 1.39 shots per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga<\/a>. He kept 29.2% of his attempts on target. Nusa was even tidy when distributing possession in the final third, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 74.2% in the top tier of the German top tier (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at the Red Bull Arena will run out in the summer of 2029 which could make it difficult for the Reds to sign him on the cheap this off-season.<\/p>\n

Is Nusa A Decent Choice For Liverpool Boss Arne Slot?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Nusa is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out on the flanks. He can strike the ball with power from long range and can chip in by scoring his fair share of goals from the left wing.<\/p>\n

The Norwegian talent is primarily a left-sided wide player but can also function as a right-winger if asked to do so. However, there are some question marks over whether he can adapt to the physicality and high intensity of the Premier League<\/a> if the Reds can find a way to get a deal over the line for him this off-season.<\/p>\n

We can expect Nusa to bring more quality and depth to Liverpool<\/a> head coach Arne Slot\u2019s attack. He could even serve as a good replacement for Luis Diaz at the Merseyside club.<\/p>\n
