In a recent report<\/a>, Diario Spot claimed that Manchester United are keeping a keen eye on Barcelona<\/a> attacker Fermin Lopez this summer. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils are showing interest in bringing the Spanish talent to Old Trafford this off-season.<\/p>\n

Lopez\u2019s Impressive Form In Spanish Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Lopez enjoyed a decent run of form at the Catalan club last season when he put in a run of eye-catching displays for them in La Liga. The Spanish playmaker made 46 appearances for Barca in the previous campaign, netting eight goals and securing ten assists in multiple competitions.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old caught the eye at times in the final third as he averaged 2.95 shots per 90 minutes in La Liga<\/a>. He kept 36.6% of his attempts on target. Lopez was even tidy when distributing possession in the opponent\u2019s half, based on his pass success rate of 81.8% in the Spanish first division (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at the Nou Camp will expire in the summer of 2029. Hence, Man United would have to make a convincing offer if they want to convince Barca to part ways with their prized asset.<\/p>\n

Should Manchester United Boss Ruben Amorim Snap Lopez Up This Summer?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Lopez is an energetic presence in the opponent\u2019s half and can make some driving runs with the ball going forward. He can link up play well with others around him and can shoot the ball with venom from long range.<\/p>\n

The Spaniard had added plenty of goals and assists to his game of late and could be a real asset for a club with European ambitions like Man United<\/a>. However, there are some concerns over whether he can maintain his good form in the Premier League<\/a> if the Red Devils manage to bring him on board this summer.<\/p>\n

Lopez would inject more quality and depth into Man United boss Ruben Amorim\u2019s frontline. He is good enough to fight for a regular first-team place at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n
