In a recent interview with Football Insider<\/a>, former scout Mick Brown revealed that Liverpool are prepared to launch a fresh move for Crystal Palace<\/a> defender Marc Guehi. Brown said,<\/p>\n

\u201cAll of the talk at Liverpool has been about Isak at the moment.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut from what I\u2019m told, Marc Guehi is still very much on their radar and I\u2019d expect them to make a move before the end of the window.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think they regard Guehi as just as important as Isak in terms of the benefit to their squad.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re not totally convinced about Konate, he makes too many errors and could be on his way out when his contract runs out next year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve let Jarell Quansah go, and Joe Gomez isn\u2019t going to be the long-term answer at centre-back.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf they\u2019re going for every trophy available to them, they can\u2019t afford to take chances at the back, and Guehi would represent a very good addition for them.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019d be a top signing and I expect they\u2019ll be ready to make a move at some stage.\u201d<\/p>\n

Guehi\u2019s Excellent Form In The Premier League Last Season<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Guehi had a great season at the London club recently as he put in a lot of influential displays for them on the defensive end of the field. The England international played in 44 matches for the Eagles in the previous campaign, netting three goals and securing two assists across all competitions.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old gave a good account of himself when defending inside his half after he made 61 tackles, 55 blocks and 28 interceptions in Premier League football. He was even careful when distributing the ball from the back, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 83.5% in the English top tier (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Should Liverpool Boss Arne Slot Snap Guehi Up This Summer?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Guehi is a good tackler of the ball and doesn\u2019t mind clearing the danger when needed. He can scan the danger well to make some crucial interceptions for his side on the defensive third of the pitch.<\/p>\n

The English sensation can even play his way out from the back. He is currently one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League<\/a>. Therefore, it will be a great move for Liverpool<\/a> if they can lure Guehi to Anfield this off-season.<\/p>\n

Guehi would no doubt enhance the quality of Arne Slot\u2019s defence. He could even go on to form a solid partnership with Virgil Van Dijk at the Merseyside club<\/a>.<\/p>\n
