Speaking on the latest edition of\u00a0Football Insider\u2019s Inside Track podcast<\/a>, journalist Pete O\u2019Rourke offered an update on Chelsea and their pursuit of Manchester United<\/a> winger Alejandro Garnacho. O\u2019Rourke said,<\/p>\n

\u201cWe fully expect things to get moving between Man United and Chelsea.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know Chelsea remain interested in signing the Argentine, they considered a move in the January transfer window before deciding not to go forward with that move.<\/p>\n

\u201cGarnacho has no future at Old Trafford, there\u2019s no getting away from it, he\u2019s burnt his bridges with the club.<\/p>\n

\u201cRuben Amorim has all but confirmed that Garnacho will be leaving Old Trafford this summer.<\/p>\n

\u201cBoth clubs have been in discussions over a potential deal, and it will all come down to the fee.<\/p>\n

\u201cChelsea will be hoping that due to the situation between the player and Ruben Amorim, United will be willing to sell him for a cut-price fee.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey want to do a deal at around \u00a340million while United are holding out for around \u00a350million, so it\u2019s a game of cat and mouse between United and Chelsea.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do expect this deal to go through, United need to offload him because he\u2019s not part of their plans.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey need that money from any potential sale to try and reinvest in the squad, so all signs point to a move to Stamford Bridge for Alejandro Garnacho.\u201d<\/p>\n

Garnacho\u2019s Productive Season In The Premier League<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Argentine talent enjoyed a good run of form at the Mancunian club as he put in a series of impressive performances for them in the final third. Garnacho registered 11 goals and earned ten assists in 58 matches for the Red Devils last season across all competitions.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old is under contract at Old Trafford until the summer of 2028. Therefore, the Blues would have to increase their offer if they are serious about signing him this off-season.<\/p>\n

What Should Chelsea Boss Enzo Maresca Do With Regards To Garnacho?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Garnacho has got the pace to cause a lot of problems for his marker out in the wide areas. He has got the eye to set up a few decent chances for others around him in the opponent\u2019s half and can strike the ball well from long range.<\/p>\n

We can expect him to add more quality and depth to Chelsea<\/a> boss Enzo Maresca\u2019s attack. He is good enough to compete for regular first-team football at Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n
