Newcastle United have established themselves as one of the Premier League\u2019s strongest teams over the past few seasons. Under Eddie Howe, the team have improved in their overall performances, but the lack of a permanent goal-scoring option has been evident. The club have looked at several names, but have not yet decided on the right option.<\/p>\n

The current situation of the team is such that they are making careful moves in the transfer market. Given the situation of Alexander Isak, the club are in no hurry. According to a report in the Daily Telegraph<\/a>, Nicolas Jackson is almost certain to leave Chelse<\/a>a<\/a> this summer and is eyeing a move to Newcastle United. Eddie Howe wants to bring in a new striker, but the club are waiting for Isak\u2019s situation to clear.<\/p>\n

Chelsea are in no hurry to sell Jackson. The Blues will now want double the price for the player who joined from Villarreal two years ago for \u00a332 million. Jackson himself is keen to play at St. James\u2019 Park, but the deal could drag on until the final days of the transfer window.<\/p>\n

Newcastle United are also currently eyeing Wissa, who is being seen as a replacement for Callum Wilson. If Isak stays in the team, the chances of bringing in Jackson may be reduced. Reports say the club will not rush into this transfer.<\/p>\n

Would Jackson be the right choice?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We think Jackson could fit into Eddie Howe\u2019s style. He is fast, has good ball control and poses a threat in counterattacks. Newcastle United already have a technical striker like Isak, but Jackson could add a different dimension with his pace and directness. If Howe uses him in rotation with Isak, it would add flexibility to the attack.<\/p>\n

However, the club will have to consider whether spending over \u00a360 million is right for their needs.
