In a recent interview with Football Insider<\/a>, former scout Mike Brown claimed that Liverpool are eyeing another move for Newcastle United<\/a> striker Alexander Isak this summer. Brown said, \u201cNewcastle aren\u2019t being held to ransom.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey don\u2019t want to let Isak go, but if he\u2019s going to keep pushing and refusing to play and all of that, then I expect they\u2019ll be prepared to accept an offer.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hear Liverpool are going to come in with another offer, because they still want to bring him in.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat offer will likely be upwards of \u00a3120million, apparently that\u2019s the minimum Newcastle are asking for.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve gone to \u00a3110million, but haven\u2019t gone any further and everybody knows the situation, but it\u2019s in everybody\u2019s interest to reach an agreement.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf they do come in with this new offer, I think it\u2019s got a better chance of being accepted.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrom Liverpool\u2019s point of view, I think they\u2019re confident because the player wants the move.<\/p>\n

\u201cA higher fee, Newcastle might look at it and say if he\u2019s not going to get on with it and stay there, then they\u2019re better off letting him go.\u201c<\/p>\n

Isak\u2019s Impressive Numbers In English Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Isak had a productive season at the Tyneside club recently as he put in a lot of impressive displays for them in the final third. The Swedish talent scored 27 goals and earned six assists in 42 matches for Newcastle last season across multiple competitions.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old did well to average 3.1 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He kept 43.2% of his attempts on target. Isak was even tidy when distributing possession in the opponent\u2019s half, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 75.3% in the English first division (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Will Isak Be A Dream Choice For Liverpool Boss Arne Slot?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Isak is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He is a deadly finisher in front of the opponent\u2019s goal, but needs to work on improving his link-up play up top.<\/p>\n

The Swedish sensation can even make some dangerous runs with the ball. He has already proven his worth in the Premier League<\/a> and would be a great addition to Liverpool<\/a>\u2018s squad this summer.<\/p>\n

Isak would add more firepower to Arne Slot\u2019s attack. He has what it takes to nail down a regular first-team spot at the Merseyside club. Furthermore, Isak could even help the Reds challenge for a lot of major honours over the next few years.
