Manchester United welcomed Arsenal at Old Trafford earlier this evening as they focused on earning a good result at home to kick off their Premier League campaign. The Red Devils made a slow start to the contest and conceded a cheap goal from a corner in the 13th minute when Riccardo Calafiori found the back of the net from close range. Man United went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

Ruben Amorim\u2019s men tried their best to find the equaliser in the second half but ended up suffering a tough 1-0 loss in front of their home supporters.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Manchester United<\/a> player performed during the clash against the Gunners.<\/p>\n

GK: Altay Bayindir \u2013\u00a0 5.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a couple of solid saves at the back but should have done better to prevent Calafiori\u2019s goal.<\/p>\n

CB: Leny Yoro \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yoro gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and was a strong presence in the air.<\/p>\n

CB: Matthijs de Ligt \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He did his fair share of defending inside his half and was a commanding presence at the back.<\/p>\n

CB: Luke Shaw \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Shaw got stuck in with a few solid tackles and made one good chance going forward.<\/p>\n

RM: Diogo Dalot \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He came back to defend when he could, but was replaced early in the second half.<\/p>\n

CM: Casemiro \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Casemiro got stuck in with a few solid tackles and made one key chance going forward.<\/p>\n

CM: Bruno Fernandes \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was a constant menace in the final third, but there was no goal for him.<\/p>\n

LM: Patrick Dorgu \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dorgu was unfortunate to hit the post with his attempt, but was quiet otherwise.<\/p>\n

RAM: Bryan Mbeumo \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He caused a few headaches for the Arsenal defenders but lacked the cutting edge in the final third.<\/p>\n

LAM: Matheus Cunha \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cunha made a few driving runs with the ball but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.<\/p>\n

ST: Mason Mount \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made two good chances in the final third but never looked like he would score.<\/p>\n

Substitutes:<\/strong><\/p>\n

RM: Amad Diallo \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Diallo added more pace to Amorim\u2019s midfield.<\/p>\n

ST: Benjamin Sesko \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He set up a couple of decent chances for others around him.<\/p>\n

CM: Manuel Ugarte \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ugarte made one good opportunity in the final third.<\/p>\n

CB: Harry Maguire \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n
