In a recent report<\/a>, Fichajes claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on Real Sociedad winger Takefusa Kubo. It has been stated that Spurs would have to pay around \u20ac70m to land the Japan international this summer.<\/p>\n

Kubo\u2019s Recent Season In Spanish Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Kubo managed to shine at times with his performances on the right side of Real Sociedad\u2019s attack in the previous campaign. The 24-year-old banged in seven goals and earned four assists in 52 matches for the Spanish outfit last season across all fronts.<\/p>\n

The Japanese talent proved his worth on the right flank by averaging 1.63 shots per 90 minutes in La Liga<\/a>. He kept 32.6% of his attempts on target. However, Kubo needs to improve his ball distribution after making 72.1% of his attempted passes in top-flight football (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at Real Sociedad will expire in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Spurs to land Kubo on the cheap in this transfer window.<\/p>\n

Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Thomas Frank Go For Kubo?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Kubo is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make some dangerous runs with it out on the flanks. He has got the vision to create some meaningful openings for his teammates in the final third.<\/p>\n

The Japan international can strike the ball with power from long range. Kubo is primarily a right-winger but can also operate as a left-sided wide player or as an attacking midfielder if asked to do so. However, there are some concerns over whether he can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League<\/a> if Spurs manage to bring him on board.<\/p>\n

Kubo would no doubt enhance the quality of Tottenham<\/a> head coach Thomas Frank\u2019s frontline. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the North London club this season.<\/p>\n

At 24, Kubo has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for Spurs to consider in this summer transfer window. He has what it takes to help Tottenham compete across all competitions over the next few years.
