In a recent report<\/a>, Fichajes claimed that Barcelona have identified Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni as their main target for next summer. It is understood that the Catalan club are eyeing a move to bring the Italy international to the Nou Camp in 2026.<\/p>\n

Bastoni\u2019s Impressive Season In Serie A<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The 26-year-old enjoyed a solid campaign at the Milan club recently as he was responsible for putting in a run of impressive displays at the heart of their backline. Bastoni was involved in 53 matches for Inter Milan last season, scoring one goal and securing six assists in multiple competitions.<\/p>\n

The Italian defensive ace gave a good account of himself by making 46 tackles, 25 blocks and 22 interceptions in Serie A<\/a>. He even distributed the ball well from inside his half after making 88.4% of his attempted passes in the Italian top tier (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Bastoni\u2019s current deal at San Siro will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Barcelona to sign him on the cheap next year.<\/p>\n

Will Bastoni Be A Good Option For Barcelona Boss Hansi Flick?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Bastoni is a solid tackler of the ball and can scan the danger well to make some important interceptions for his side inside his half. He doesn\u2019t mind putting his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the offensive and can use his strong 1.90m frame to win his fair share of duels in the air.<\/p>\n

However, only time will tell whether he can make a smooth transition to life in La Liga<\/a> if Barcelona manage to bring him on board next summer. We can expect him to enhance the quality of Barca head coach Hansi Flick\u2019s defence.<\/p>\n

Bastoni is good enough to nail down a regular starting spot at the Nou Camp next season. He will also help the Catalan club compete across all fronts in the future.<\/p>\n
