In a recent report<\/a>, Mundo Deportivo claimed that Manchester United<\/a> are ready to step up their efforts to land Sevilla<\/a> talent Lucien Agoume this summer. It has been stated that the Red Devils are determined to recruit the French midfielder in this transfer period.<\/p>\n

Agoume\u2019s Impressive Rise In Spanish Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Agoume enjoyed a solid season at the Andalusian club recently as he managed to impress at times with his performances at the centre of their midfield. The French midfield ace made 37 appearances for Sevilla in the previous campaign, scoring one goal and securing three assists in various competitions.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old anchored the midfield well for the Spanish club after he made 70 tackles, 30 blocks, and 41 interceptions in La Liga<\/a>. He even distributed possession relatively well from midfield, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 79% in the Spanish top tier (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at Sevilla will expire in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for the Red Devils to sign him on the cheap in this transfer window.<\/p>\n

Will Agoume Be A Good Option For Manchester United Boss Ruben Amorim?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Agoume is a good tackler of the ball and can sense the danger well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually clears his lines when the opposition are on the offensive and is a tidy passer of the ball as well.<\/p>\n

The French sensation can even chip in by scoring and creating the odd goal for his team. However, only time will tell whether he can cope with the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League<\/a> if the Red Devils manage to bring him on board this summer.<\/p>\n

Agoume would no doubt enhance the quality of Man United boss Ruben Amorim\u2019s midfield in the long run. He is good enough to serve as a long-term successor to Casemiro at the Mancunian club.<\/p>\n

At 23, Agoume has got a bright future ahead of him, which makes him an excellent option for Man United to consider before the end of this transfer window.
