Everton are now firmly in the race for Christantus Uche, according to a report in Fichajes<\/a>, and are reportedly willing to spend up to \u20ac30 million for the 22-year-old versatile attacker from Getafe. David Moyes has brought in several new players this summer, and most of them have been attacking options.<\/p>\n

The club also brought in Jack Grealish on loan, but his presence in the opening game against Leeds United failed to make a difference. Moyes is still looking to find a goal-scoring solution and is looking for a player who can play in multiple positions.<\/p>\n

Everton<\/a> recently made a move for Tyler Dibling, but have yet to respond to Southampton\u2019s demand. Malick Fofana\u2019s deal also slipped through the cracks, despite the transfer looking close at one point. They are now eyeing Nigerian forward Christantus Uche, who plays for Getafe.<\/p>\n

The youngster contributed 11 goals across all competitions last season, and it is these stats that are attracting Everton. La Liga clubs such as Real Sociedad are also interested in the player, but reports suggest that the Toffees are the only club willing to make a direct offer that would entice Getafe. With Uche also eyeing a Premier League opportunity, the deal now looks set to gain momentum.<\/p>\n

Would Uche be the right player for Everton?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Given Everton\u2019s current situation, spending \u20ac30 million on Christantus Uche brings both risk and opportunity. The Nigerian has tremendous versatility and can play on the wing as well as in the middle.<\/p>\n

His pace and dribbling abilities could make Everton\u2019s attacking department more potent and dangerous, but his lack of consistency has been his biggest weakness so far in his career. The Premier League is a different level of pressure, and adapting quickly won\u2019t be easy.<\/p>\n

Still, David Moyes\u2019 side are in desperate need of a new goal-scoring option and a big investment in a young player like Uche could pay off in the future. If Everton can complete the deal, it would be a strong move for the club, as the team now need not just depth in attack but also energy and different profiles.
