Aston Villa locked horns with Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure a good result on their travels in the Premier League. The Villans made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 12th minute when Dango Ouattara found the back of the net. Unai Emery\u2019s men failed to make a comeback and went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

The West Midlands club tried their best to find the equaliser in the second 45 minutes but crashed to a tough 1-0 loss away from home.<\/p>\n

GK: Emiliano Martinez \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made one good save at the back but failed to keep a clean sheet this afternoon.<\/p>\n

RB: Matty Cash \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cash did his fair share of defending and made two key chances going forward.<\/p>\n

CB: Pau Torres \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was far from convincing on the defensive end of the field.<\/p>\n

Mings performed his defensive responsibilities well, but it was not enough today.<\/p>\n

Digne made one important clearance inside his half and was replaced in the 63rd minute.<\/p>\n

CM: Amadou Onana \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He earned possession back twice and was not shy of having a strike at goal.<\/p>\n

CM: Boubacar Kamara \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kamara picked up an injury and was replaced in the 15th minute.<\/p>\n

RW: John McGinn \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He caused a few headaches for the opposition defenders, but there was no goal for him.<\/p>\n

Tielemans made some inviting chances for others around him but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.<\/p>\n
