Speaking exclusively to Mirror Football<\/a>, former Premier League striker and television pundit Michael Owen urged Manchester United to move in for Paris Saint-Germain keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma this summer. Owen said,<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, when it all came out about Donnarumma leaving Paris Saint-Germain, I thought, \u2018Oh my word, whoever gets him are going to be a lucky team.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, he is unbelievable. He\u2019s literally one of, if not the best goalkeeper in the world. I mean, he would be the obvious one, but whether they (Manchester United) can get him or not is another matter.\u201d<\/p>\n

Donnarumma\u2019s Impressive Form In The Premier League<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Donnarumma was a top performer for PSG in the previous campaign when he put in several solid performances for them in between the sticks. The Italy international conceded 43 goals and earned 17 clean sheets in 47 matches for the French outfit last season across multiple competitions.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old\u2019s current contract at the French club will run out next summer, which could open the door for the Red Devils to sign him on the cheap in this transfer window.<\/p>\n

Will Donnarumma Be A Dream Choice For Manchester United Boss Ruben Amorim?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Donnarumma is a solid handler of the ball and can be a safe pair of hands in goal for his team. He can use his quick reflexes to make a few solid saves at the back.<\/p>\n

The Italian sensation has proven his worth at the highest level. Standing at 1.96m, Donnarumma is a commanding presence inside his penalty area. However, only time will tell whether he can be a success story in the Premier League<\/a> if the Red Devils manage to get him on board this summer.<\/p>\n

Man United<\/a> can undoubtedly benefit from recruiting a goalkeeper of Donnarumma\u2019s skill set. He would be an upgrade over Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir at the Mancunian club.<\/p>\n
