In a recent report<\/a>, Sport stated that Barcelona are keeping tabs on Villarreal forward Karl Etta Eyong. It has been claimed that the Catalan club are eyeing a surprise move to land the Cameroonian talent in this transfer window.<\/p>\n

Etta Eyong\u2019s Impressive Rise In Spanish Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Etta Eyong has come through the youth ranks of Villarreal and has done well to break out as a first-team starter for them in the previous campaign. The Cameroonian attacker has made six senior appearances for the Yellow Submarine thus far, scoring two times and picking up one assist in all competitions.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old is currently among the best young strikers in Spanish football. Hence, it is no surprise that Barcelona are monitoring his situation at Villarreal.<\/p>\n

Etta Eyong\u2019s current contract at the Spanish club will run out in the summer of 2027, so the Catalan club would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting the Douala-born talent in this transfer window.<\/p>\n

Should Barcelona Boss Hansi Flick Move In For Etta Eyong?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Etta Eyong can find a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to engineer the odd chance for his teammates to score in the final third.<\/p>\n

The Cameroonian talent is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can be a decent finisher in front of the opponent\u2019s goal. He is already quite familiar with La Liga<\/a> and won\u2019t take much time to adjust to life at the Catalan club.<\/p>\n

Etta Eyong would be an excellent addition to Barcelona<\/a>\u2018s La Masia academy. He would be a great signing for the Catalan giants to consider in this transfer window.<\/p>\n

At 21, Etta Eyong has got the potential to be a future star in Spanish football. Therefore, it makes sense for Barca to move in for him before the end of this summer transfer window. However, Hansi Flick has to be patient with his progress before he can get the best out of the gifted talent at the Nou Camp.
