In a recent report<\/a>, journalist Rudy Galetti mentioned that Liverpool have set their sights on Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic this summer. It has been revealed that the Reds are eyeing a move to land the Serbian striker, but would have to rival Newcastle United in pursuit of him.<\/p>\n

Vlahovic\u2019s Impressive Form In Italian Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The 25-year-old had a decent campaign at the Turin club in the previous campaign when he put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. Vlahovic scored 17 times and earned five assists in 44 matches for Juventus last season on all fronts.<\/p>\n

The Serbian talent led the line well for Juve as he averaged 3.68 shots per 90 minutes in Serie A<\/a>. He kept 34.2% of his attempts on target. However, Vlahovic needs to improve his ball distribution after completing just 69.1% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at the Tyneside club will run out in the summer of 2026, which could open the door for the Reds to sign him on the cheap in this transfer period.<\/p>\n

Should Liverpool Boss Arne Slot Get Vlahovic On Board?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Vlahovic can find a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the eye to create the odd chance for his teammates in the final third and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.<\/p>\n

The Serbian forward can also use his strong 1.90m frame to win a few aerial duels for his team. However, Vlahovic needs to work on improving his link-up play up top. Plus, there are some concerns over whether he would make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League<\/a> if the Reds manage to snap him up this summer.<\/p>\n

Vlahovic would no doubt enhance the quality of Liverpool<\/a> head coach Arne Slot\u2019s attack. He is more than capable of fighting for a regular first-team spot at the Merseyside club in the coming years.<\/p>\n
