In a recent report, Football.London<\/a> provided an update on the future of Arsenal<\/a> superstar Bukayo Saka. It has been mentioned that the Gunners are planning to ramp up their efforts to extend the English winger\u2019s contract.<\/p>\n

Saka\u2019s Impressive Form In The Premier League<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Saka has proven his worth as the most valuable player in Mikel Arteta<\/a>\u2018s first XI over the past few years. The England international scored 12 times and earned 14 assists in 37 matches for Arsenal last season in various competitions.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old gave a good account of himself on the offensive end of the field as he averaged 3.44 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League<\/a>. He kept 33.3% of his attempts on target. Saka distributed possession relatively well in the opponent\u2019s half, based on his pass completion rate of 75.5% in the English top flight (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at the North London club will run out in the summer of 2027. Thus, it makes sense for Arsenal to try and extend his contract for the long run.<\/p>\n

Arsenal Are Planning To Ramp Up Their Efforts To Extend Saka\u2019s Contract: Good Move For Both Parties?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Saka is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out on the flanks. He can shoot the ball with venom from long range and has got the vision to engineer a few key chances for his teammates to score.<\/p>\n

The English sensation can chip in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. He is primarily a right-sided wide player but can also operate as a left-winger if asked to do so by his manager.<\/p>\n

Saka is the first name in Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta\u2019s teamsheet and has proven himself to be an irreplaceable member of their squad. Thus, it is only logical for the Gunners to try and extend his contract for the long run.<\/p>\n

At 23, Saka has his best years ahead of him and would only get better with each season.
