Newcastle United clashed heads with Everton at Goodison Park earlier this evening as they hope to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies made a solid start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time interval.<\/p>\n

Eddie Howe\u2019s men struggled to find the winning goal in the second half and had to settle for a lackluster 0-0 draw at Merseyside.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Newcastle United player performed during the clash against the Toffees.<\/p>\n

GK: Nick Pope \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pope made two solid saves at the back and did enough to keep a clean sheet this evening.<\/p>\n

RB: Kieran Trippier \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He didn\u2019t do much wrong when defending inside his half and made two good chances for his teammates to score.<\/p>\n

CB: Fabian Schar \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Schar earned the ball back once and did enough to keep a clean sheet.<\/span><\/p>\n

CB: Dan Burn \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He cleared his lines when needed and did well to limit the home team from scoring.<\/p>\n

LB: Lewis Hall \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hall was a positive influence at both ends of the field.<\/p>\n

CM: Sandro Tonali \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He earned the ball back once but was a bit untidy with his passing.<\/p>\n

CM: Bruno Guimaraes \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Guimaraes made a couple of important interceptions at the centre of the park but lacked quality in the final third.<\/p>\n

CM: Joelinton \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Joelinton<\/a> caused some headaches for the Everton defenders but struggled to make a difference in the opponent\u2019s half.<\/p>\n

RW: Jacob Murphy \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He came back to defend when he could but offered very little on the offensive end of the field.<\/p>\n

ST: Anthony Gordon \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gordon managed to shine at times but missed a penalty this evening.<\/p>\n

LW: Harvey Barnes \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He failed to get into the rhythm of the contest and was substituted after the hour mark.<\/p>\n

RW: Miguel Almiron \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Almiron made one good chance in the final third.<\/p>\n

CM: Joe Willock \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made one decent run with the ball.<\/p>\n

CM: Sean Longstaff \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

His impact on the game was minimal.<\/p>\n

RB: Tino Livramento \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He had a couple of bright moments in the opponent\u2019s half.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
