Everton entertained Newcastle United at Goodison Park earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a victory at home in the Premier League. The Toffees made a good start to the game and managed to get to the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.<\/p>\n

The Merseyside club were solid at the back in the second 45 minutes and managed to grind out a 0-0 draw in front of their home fans.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Everton player performed during the match against the Magpies.<\/p>\n

GK: Jordan Pickford \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pickford made a few important saves at the back and secured an important clean sheet at Goodison Park.<\/p>\n

RB: James Garner \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He performed his defensive duties well and made one decent run with the ball.<\/p>\n

CB: James Tarkowski \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tarkowski made a lot of crucial clearances inside his half and would be quite pleased with the clean sheet.<\/span><\/p>\n

CB: Michael Keane \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He put his foot through the ball when he could and did enough to restrict the opposition from scoring.<\/p>\n

LB: Ashley Young \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was solid when defending at the back and made one good chance going forward.<\/p>\n

CM: Abdoulaye Doucoure \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Doucoure got stuck in with a few crunching tackles and engineered some decent chances for others around him.<\/p>\n

CM: Orel Mangala \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He earned the ball back once but offered very little in the final third.<\/p>\n

RW: Jack Harrison \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Harrison struggled to get into the flow of the game and was replaced after the hour mark.<\/p>\n

CAM: Dwight McNeil \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He caused some problems for the opposition defenders but didn\u2019t do enough to register a goal.<\/p>\n

LW: Iliman Ndiaye \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ndiaye made a handful of dangerous runs with the ball but there was no goal for him.<\/p>\n

ST: Dominic Calvert-Lewin \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He caught the eye at times but never looked like he would score.<\/p>\n

CM: Idrissa Gueye \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gueye<\/a> made one good run with the ball.<\/p>\n

CM: Tim Iroegbunam \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n
