In a recent interview with Football Insider<\/a>, former scout Mick Brown mentioned that Manchester United<\/a> are keeping tabs on Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson. Brown said,<\/p>\n

\u201cMan United have been looking at Anderson.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s done a tremendous job at Nottingham Forest and then he\u2019s come into the England side and turned in a man-of-the-match performance.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnited see him as exactly the type of midfielder they would like to bring in.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe gets up and down the park, he\u2019s confident and secure in possession of the ball, and he\u2019s not afraid to put in a tackle which is something they need.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnderson would solve, or certainly help with, a lot of the issues they\u2019ve had under Amorim.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody knows they wanted a midfielder in the summer but they couldn\u2019t find the right one who was available at the price they wanted.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what Anderson would cost, but he is somebody who\u2019s been on their radar.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe would be the ideal player to fill the gaps they\u2019ve had in the squad.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anderson\u2019s Impressive Form In The Premier League<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Anderson had a decent campaign at the Midlands club recently as he put in a string of impressive displays for them at the centre of the park. The English talent played in 42 matches for Nottingham<\/a> last season, scoring two goals and earning six assists across all fronts.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old anchored the midfield well as he made 92 tackles, 48 blocks, 31 interceptions and 76 clearances in the Premier League<\/a>. He was even accurate when distributing possession from midfield after completing 78.3% of his attempted passes in top-flight football (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Is Anderson A Decent Fit For Manchester United Boss Ruben Amorim?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Anderson is a good tackler of the ball and can scan the danger well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He doesn\u2019t mind clearing his lines when required and is a good passer of the ball as well.<\/p>\n

The English talent can even chip in by scoring and creating a handful of important goals for his team. He mainly plays as a box-to-box midfielder but can also operate as a left-winger or in the number ten position if told to do so.<\/p>\n

Anderson would no doubt enhance the quality of Man United boss Ruben Amorim\u2019s midfield. He is good enough to nail down a regular starting spot at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n
