Liverpool will welcome Everton at Anfield this Saturday afternoon as they hope to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Reds managed to earn a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Atletico Madrid recently, which should give them a lot of confidence ahead of this game.<\/p>\n

Arne Slot will set his side up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to keep changes to a minimum for this game. Hence, Alexander Isak could get the nod to lead the line for Liverpool once again up top.<\/p>\n

Defence<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Alisson Becker will feature in goal for the Reds after conceding two goals in his last outing. Virgil Van Dijk will function alongside Ibrahima Konate at the centre of the Liverpool<\/a> backline as they look to keep things solid at the back in the Merseyside derby.<\/p>\n

Jeremie Frimpong will function as the right-back, while Andy Robertson once again gets a chance to shine as the left-back. Slot will allow both of them to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.<\/p>\n

Joe Gomez, Milos Kerkez and Conor Bradley will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.<\/p>\n

Midfield<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch will anchor the midfield for the Reds as they look to dictate the tempo of the game in the opponent\u2019s half.<\/p>\n

The gifted trio of Cody Gakpo, Florian Wirtz and Mohamed Salah will play just ahead of them as part of Slot\u2019s attack. All three of them would be eager to give a good account of themselves in this Merseyside derby.<\/p>\n

Rio Ngumoha and Alexis Mac Allister will have to be content with a place on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second half if required.<\/p>\n

Attack<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Alexander Isak will probably get another chance to spearhead Liverpool\u2019s attack up top. The Swedish striker failed to score on his debut versus Atletico Madrid in midweek, so this game could be a good chance for him to find the back of the net for the first time for the Reds.<\/p>\n

Hugo Ekitike will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if needed.<\/p>\n
