Manchester City entertained Napoli at the Etihad Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a positive result at home in the UEFA Champions League. Pep Guardiola\u2019s men made a good start to the game and found themselves at a numerical advantage in the 21st minute when Giovanni Di Lorenzo was sent off by the referee. The Mancunian giants went into the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.<\/p>\n

Erling Haaland opened the goal-scoring in the 56th minute before Jeremy Doku put the match to bed just nine minutes later. The contest finished with Man City securing a solid 2-0 win at the Etihad.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Manchester City<\/a> player fared during the clash against Napoli.<\/p>\n

GK: Gianluigi Donnarumma \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made one good save at the back and earned an easy clean sheet tonight.<\/p>\n

RB: Abdukodir Khusanov \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Khusanov was solid when defending inside his half but offered very little going forward.<\/p>\n

CB: Ruben Dias \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He did enough to keep the opposition attackers quiet during the 90 minutes.<\/p>\n

CB: Josko Gvardiol \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gvardiol won the ball back a few times and was a threat at the other end of the pitch.<\/p>\n

LB: Nico O\u2019Reilly \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch.<\/p>\n

CDM: Rodri \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rodri anchored the midfield with conviction and made some decent chances in the final third.<\/p>\n

RW: Bernardo Silva \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He caught the eye at times on both halves, but there was no goal for him.<\/p>\n

CM: Phil Foden \u2013 8.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Foden engineered a lot of good chances for his teammates to score and ended the game with an assist to his name.<\/p>\n

CM: Tijjani Reijnders \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was a real menace in the final third and has got an assist to show for his efforts.<\/p>\n

LW: Jeremy Doku \u2013 8.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Doku caused a lot of problems for his marker and managed to score with a good finish in the 65th minute.<\/p>\n

ST: Erling Haaland \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Haaland was a real handful for the opposition defenders and managed to score the opener in the 56th minute.<\/p>\n

CM: Nico Gonzalez \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He earned the ball back once.<\/p>\n

RW: Savinho \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

His impact on the game was minimal.<\/p>\n

CB: Nathan Ake \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was solid at the back.<\/p>\n

RW: Oscar Bobb \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bobb struggled to get into the flow of the game.<\/p>\n
