Arsenal will entertain Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon as they hope to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Gunners managed to earn an impressive 2-0 win away at Atletico Madrid recently, which should keep them in good spirits ahead of this game.<\/p>\n

Mikel Arteta will opt for the 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make some tweaks for this game. Both Gabriel Martinelli and William Saliba could get a chance to impress from the start of this contest.<\/p>\n

Defence<\/strong><\/h3>\n

David Raya will feature in between the sticks for the Gunners after he kept a clean sheet in his last outing. William Saliba is expected to return and resume his partnership with Gabriel at the centre of the Arsenal backline as they look to keep a good shape on the defensive end of the field.<\/p>\n

Jurrien Timber will function as the right-back, while Riccardo Calafiori hopes to impress on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.<\/p>\n

Piero Hincapie and Cristhian Mosquera will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.<\/p>\n

Midfield<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Arteta will stick with his favoured midfield three of Declan Rice, Martin Zubimendi and Mikel Merino as they look to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park. All three of them need to move the ball well if they want to create some decent chances in the final third.<\/p>\n

Ethan Nwaneri and Christian Norgaard will have to settle for a place on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second half if needed.<\/p>\n

Attack<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Gabriel Martinelli will try to catch the eye on the left flank, while Noni Madueke looks to give a good account of himself as the right-sided wide player. Viktor Gyokeres will lead the charge for the North London club in the final third. He failed to score in midweek and would be desperate to make a difference for Arsenal this weekend.<\/p>\n

Eberechi Eze, Leandro Trossard and Max Dowman will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if required.<\/p>\n
