In a recent report<\/a>, The Express mentioned that Manchester United have identified Atletico Madrid<\/a> midfielder Conor Gallagher as a target. It has been stated that the Red Devils have set their sights on the English talent as they look to improve their squad next year.<\/p>\n

Gallagher\u2019s Good Form In Spanish Football This Season<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Gallagher has made a decent start to this campaign as he has already put in a few impressive displays for Atletico at the centre of the park. The English midfield ace has made eight appearances for Diego Simeone\u2019s side this season, scoring one goal in all competitions.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old has given a good account of himself in the middle of the park and deserves credit for making six tackles, one block, six interceptions and two clearances in La Liga. He has even been excellent when distributing the ball from midfield, based on his pass completion rate of 89.4% in the top tier of Spanish football (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at the Madrid club will expire in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Red Devils to sign him on a cut-price deal next year.<\/p>\n

Will Gallagher Be A Good Choice For Manchester United Boss Ruben Amorim?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Gallagher loves a tackle and can time his challenges well to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when needed and is an accurate passer of the ball.<\/p>\n

The English sensation can even strike the ball with venom from long range and is an energetic runner with the ball. He already knows the Premier League<\/a> well from his time at Chelsea<\/a> and is well-equipped to make an immediate impact at Man United<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Gallagher would add more quality and depth to Ruben Amorim\u2019s midfield department. He is good enough to fight for regular first-team football at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

At 25, Gallagher has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a great choice for the Red Devils to consider this January or at the end of this campaign.
