Everton have been on the hunt to strengthen their attack, as they are looking at the January transfer window to sign a new striker. The club has faced issues with inefficiency in that position, and hence, the pressure on the board is high.<\/p>\n

Amidst all these, Gabriel Jesus has emerged as a possible candidate for the Toffees to strengthen their attacking line. Arsenal don\u2019t have the Brazilian striker in their plans and hence want to sell him. The 28-year-old has not had the impact that everyone would have liked at the Emirates Stadium due to his recurring injuries.<\/p>\n

However, Gazeta Do Urubu<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>has reported that the Brazilian club Flamengo have also shown an interest in the Arsenal man and will be competing with Everton for his signature in the winter transfer window. However, the report also adds that the Gunners value him at \u00a330 million, and that could serve as the biggest\u00a0obstacle to his transfer to Flamengo.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian club values his work rate and traits. So, they could give a stiff competition to the Toffees in this chase. Everton also value him a lot, but the move will depend a lot on whether the Mikel Arteta-led club lowers their valuation. We mentioned in an earlier report that Everton has to pay \u00a330\u201335 million for Gabriel Jesus.<\/a> Meantime, we had earlier reported that Jake O\u2019Brien is not the natural fit for Everton at right-back<\/a> and the club might have to sign a player for that position as well.<\/p>\n

For Everton, this interest in Jesus shows both ambition and risk. His Premier League experience and proven ability in England could solve the Toffees\u2019 goal-scoring problems. Spending \u00a330 million on a forward like him could be a smart move, especially for a club struggling to take their chances.<\/p>\n

Yet, there is another side that needs attention. Jesus\u2019s time at Arsenal has been affected by injuries and inconsistency, and those issues may continue.
