In a recent report<\/a>, Fichajes mentioned that Barcelona have set their sights on Porto centre-forward Samu Aghehowa. It has been stated that the Catalan club are eyeing a move to bring the Spanish striker to the Nou Camp next year.<\/p>\n

Aghehowa\u2019s Impressive Form In Portuguese Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The 21-year-old has enjoyed a decent run of form in Liga Portugal as he has managed to put in a few productive displays for Porto up top. Aghehowa has banged in five goals in eight appearances for the Portuguese club this season across all fronts.<\/p>\n

The Spanish talent has led the line well and deserves credit for averaging 3.62 shots per 90 minutes in Liga Portugal. He has kept 50% of his attempts on target. Aghehowa was even tidy when distributing possession in the final third, based on his pass success rate of 75.3% in top-flight football (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at the Portuguese club will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Catalan club to sign him on the cheap next year.<\/p>\n

Is Aghehowa A Good Option For Barcelona Boss Hansi Flick?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Aghehowa is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the vision to engineer a few inviting chances for his teammates in the final third. He is even proficient at finding some space for himself to get some strikes in at goal.<\/p>\n

The Spanish talent has proven himself to be a prolific goal-scorer up top. However, it remains to be seen whether he can maintain his good form in La Liga<\/a> if the Catalan giants manage to bring him on board next year.<\/p>\n

We can expect Aghehowa to inject more firepower into Barcelona<\/a> boss Hansi Flick\u2019s attack. He has what it takes to serve as an ideal long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski at the Catalan club.<\/p>\n

At 21, the future looks quite bright for Aghehowa as long as he continues to improve with each year. Therefore, he would be an excellent option for Barca to consider in the long run.
