In a recent report<\/a>, AS claimed that Real Madrid are hoping to re-sign Como playmaker Nico Paz. It has been stated that Los Blancos are eager to bring the Argentine talent back to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium next year.<\/p>\n

Paz\u2019s Impressive Form In Serie A This Season<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Paz is having a decent campaign at the Italian club after he put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 21-year-old has banged in three goals and grabbed three assists in seven appearances for Como this season in all competitions.<\/p>\n

The Argentine sensation has given a good account of himself in the final third as he is averaging 3.42 shots per 90 minutes in Serie A<\/a>. He has kept 45% of his attempts on target. Paz has even distributed the ball well in the opponent\u2019s half, based on his pass completion rate of 76.5% in the top tier of Italian football (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at the Italian club will run out in the summer of 2028. Thus, it won\u2019t be easy for Real Madrid to re-sign him on the cheap next year.<\/p>\n

Should Real Madrid Boss Xabi Alonso Snap Paz Up?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Paz can shoot the ball with power from long range and has got the eye to play some decisive passes in and around the opponent\u2019s penalty area.<\/p>\n

The Argentine talent can even make a few driving runs with the ball in the final third. Paz is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also play as a centre-forward or as a box-to-box midfielder if told to do so. However, only time will tell whether he can replicate his good form in La Liga<\/a> if Los Blancos manage to bring him back to Spain next year.<\/p>\n

Paz would no doubt enhance the quality of Real Madrid<\/a> boss Xabi Alonso\u2019s attack in the long run. He is already good enough to challenge for regular first-team football at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.<\/p>\n

At 21, Paz has got the potential to be a future star in European football. Plus, the Argentine sensation could help the Madrid club compete across all fronts in the coming seasons.
