In a recent interview<\/a>, former Premier League scout Mick Brown claimed that Manchester United are keeping a keen eye on Bayern Munich<\/a> talent Aleksandar Pavlovic. Brown said, \u201cWe know Amorim wants to sign a midfielder in January,<\/p>\n

\u201cThey need somebody who gets about the pitch, isn\u2019t afraid to put their foot in, has a drive and energy about him to make a difference all over the pitch.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut also somebody who can keep possession of the ball and help them advance up the pitch because at the moment they\u2019re relying very much on Bruno Fernandes.<\/p>\n

\u201cIdeally they would get somebody like Moises Caicedo who does a bit of everything at Chelsea.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve been having a look at a lot of options across Europe, we\u2019ve spoken before about players Wharton for example, from the Premier League.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Bayern Munich lad Pavlovic is somebody on their radar and somebody they have been looking at.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhether or not they\u2019d be willing to let him go, that will be up to United to find out, but they\u2019re watching him and a number of other options for the January window.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pavlovic\u2019s Impressive Form In German Football This Season<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Pavlovic has made a solid start to this campaign as he has managed to put in a few impressive displays at the heart of Bayern\u2019s midfield. The 21-year-old scored one goal in eight matches for the Munich outfit this season on all fronts.<\/p>\n

The German talent has anchored the midfield well for the Bavarian club and deserves credit for making five tackles, two blocks, one interception and five clearances in the Bundesliga<\/a> so far. He has even been accurate with his ball distribution after completing 94.8% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Will Pavlovic Be A Good Option For Manchester United?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Pavlovic loves a tackle and can read the danger well to earn possession back for his side inside his half. He usually clears his lines when the opposition are on the offensive and can chip in by scoring the odd goal for his team.<\/p>\n

The German sensation is primarily a defensive midfielder but can also operate as a box-to-box midfielder if asked to do so. However, only time will tell whether he can make a smooth transition to life in England.<\/p>\n

Pavlovic would add more bite and steel to Man United<\/a> boss Ruben Amorim\u2019s midfield. He is good enough to challenge for regular first-team football at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n
