In a recent report<\/a>, Fichajes stated that Barcelona are eyeing a move for Crystal Palace<\/a> full-back Daniel Munoz. It has been claimed that the Catalan club are showing interest in recruiting the Colombian defender next year.<\/p>\n

Munoz\u2019s Impressive Form In The Premier League<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Munoz has made a great start to this campaign as he has been responsible for putting in a run of influential displays on the right side of Oliver Glasner\u2019s defence. The Colombian right-back has featured in 12 matches for the Eagles this season, scoring two goals and securing one assist across all competitions.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old has been a solid presence when defending inside his half and deserves credit for making 19 tackles, six blocks, ten interceptions and 30 clearances in the Premier League<\/a>. He has even distributed the ball relatively well from the right flank after completing 75.5% of his attempted passes in the English top tier (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at Selhurst Park will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it difficult for Barcelona to sign him on a cut-price deal next year.<\/p>\n

Will Munoz Be A Good Fit For Barcelona Boss Hansi Flick?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Munoz is a tough-tackling full-back, who can time his challenges well to secure the ball back for his side inside his half. He usually clears his lines when required and is a good dribbler with the ball.<\/p>\n

The Colombian sensation can also contribute by scoring or creating the odd goal for his team. He is primarily a right-back but can also fill in as a central defender if told to do so.<\/p>\n

Munoz would no doubt bring more quality and depth to Barcelona<\/a> boss Hansi Flick\u2019s defence. He has what it takes to nail down a regular starting spot at the Nou Camp in the coming years.<\/p>\n

At 29, Munoz is playing in his prime, which makes him a decent fit for the Catalan club\u2019s needs in the short term. However, there are some concerns over whether he would be able to make a smooth transition to life in La Liga<\/a>.
