Tottenham Hotspur entertained Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. Spurs made a good start to the game and got their noses ahead in the fifth minute thanks to Rodrigo Bentancur\u2019s goal. However, Morgan Rogers equalised for the visitors with a great strike in the 37th minute. Both teams went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.<\/p>\n

Emiliano Buendia scored the winning goal for the Villans in the 77th minute as Thomas Frank\u2019s men crashed to a tough 2-1 loss away from home.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> player fared during the clash against the Villans.<\/p>\n

GK: Guglielmo Vicario \u2013 5.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He failed to make a save in the game and ended up conceding twice this afternoon.<\/p>\n

RB: Pedro Porro \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Porro was a positive influence at both ends of the field.<\/p>\n

CB: Kevin Danso \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field, but it was not enough today.<\/p>\n

CB: Micky van de Ven \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Van de Ven dealt with the danger when he could, but failed to keep the opposition attackers quiet.<\/p>\n

LB: Djed Spence \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He did his fair share of defending, but offered very little going forward.<\/p>\n

CM: Rodrigo Bentancur \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bentancur anchored the midfield well and gave Tottenham the lead in the fifth minute.<\/p>\n

CM: Joao Palhinha \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch.<\/p>\n

RW: Mohammed Kudus \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kudus delivered some dangerous crosses into the opposition penalty area but failed to threaten the opponent\u2019s goal.<\/p>\n

CAM: Xavi Simons \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He did his fair share of defending and made one decent chance in the final third.<\/p>\n

LW: Wilson Odobert \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Odobert caught the eye at times, but never looked like he would score.<\/p>\n

He struggled to be a menace on the offensive end of the field.<\/p>\n
