In a recent report<\/a>, journalist Graeme Bailey claimed that Arsenal are facing stiff competition for River Plate winger Ian Subiabre. It has been stated that the Gunners would have to rival Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City among other clubs in the race to sign the Argentine whizkid next year.<\/p>\n

Subiabre\u2019s Impressive Rise In Argentine Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Subiabre has come through the youth ranks of River Plate and has done well to break into their senior team recently. The 18-year-old has already played in 19 senior matches for the Argentine outfit so far across multiple competitions.<\/p>\n

The Argentine sensation is currently among the best young wide players in his homeland. Hence, Arsenal would do well to lure him to the Emirates Stadium next year.<\/p>\n

His current contract at the Argentine club will run out at the end of 2026, which could open the door for the Gunners to sign him on the cheap this winter or at the end of this campaign.<\/p>\n

Arsenal Are Facing Stiff Competition For Subiabre: Is He A Prospect For The Future?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Subiabre is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out in the wide areas. He has got the vision to engineer some inviting chances for others around him in the final third and can shoot the ball with power from long range.<\/p>\n

The Argentine playmaker is primarily a right-winger but can also serve as a left-sided wide player or as a centre-forward if asked to do so. However, he would need some time to adjust to the physicality and high intensity of the Premier League<\/a> if the Gunners manage to sign him next year.<\/p>\n

Subiabre would no doubt enhance the quality of Arsenal<\/a> head coach Mikel Arteta\u2019s attack in the long run. He has what it takes to serve as a good rotational piece in the North London club\u2019s squad.<\/p>\n
