In a recent report<\/a>, journalist Fraser Fletcher mentioned that Manchester United<\/a> are confident about recruiting Sporting CP midfielder Morten Hjulmand next year. It is believed that the Red Devils are big admirers of the Danish talent and could move in for him soon.<\/p>\n

Hjulmand\u2019s Impressive Form In Liga Portugal<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Hjulmand has made a decent start to this campaign as he has been responsible for putting in a string of eye-catching displays for Sporting in the middle of the park. The Danish sensation has netted one goal in 12 matches for the Portuguese outfit this season across various competitions.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old has anchored the midfield well and has done well to make 18 tackles, five blocks, six interceptions and five clearances in Liga Portugal. He has even distributed the ball accurately from midfield after completing 90.6% of his attempted passes in the top tier of Portuguese football (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Hjulmand is under contract at the Portuguese club until the summer of 2028. Hence, Man United would have to make a big offer if they want to convince Sporting to part ways with their prized asset next year.<\/p>\n

Is Hjulmand A Good Fit For Manchester United Boss Ruben Amorim?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Hjulmand is a solid tackler of the ball and can scan the danger well to earn possession back for his team inside his half. He usually clears his lines when the opposition are on the offensive and is a tidy passer of the ball as well.<\/p>\n

However, the Danish talent has to add more goals and assists to his game. Furthermore, it remains to be seen whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League<\/a> if the Red Devils manage to bring him on board.<\/p>\n
