Liverpool faced off against Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Reds made a poor start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the fifth minute when Dango Quattara found the back of the net. Kevin Schade doubled his team\u2019s advantage in the 45th minute before Milos Kerkez pulled a goal back for the Reds in the dying embers of the first half. Arne Slot\u2019s men went into the half-time break 2-1 down on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

Igor Thiago restored Brentford\u2019s two-goal lead from the penalty spot in the 60th minute. Mohamed Salah got a goal back for the Reds in the 89th minute, but Liverpool ended up suffering a lackluster 3-2 loss away from home.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Liverpool<\/a> player fared during the match against the Bees.<\/p>\n

GK: Giorgi Mamardashvili \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mamardashvili made a few solid saves at the back but conceded three times tonight.<\/p>\n

RB: Conor Bradley \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He did his fair share of defending and offered very little going forward.<\/p>\n

CB: Ibrahima Konate \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Konate cleared his lines when he could and was a good presence on the ball.<\/p>\n

CB: Virgil Van Dijk \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a lot of crucial clearances at the back, but failed to keep the opposition attackers quiet.<\/p>\n

LB: Milos Kerkez \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He failed to keep things solid at the back but managed to score in the latter stages of the first half.<\/p>\n

CM: Curtis Jones \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jones made a few driving runs with the ball but failed to threaten the opponent\u2019s goal.<\/p>\n

CM: Dominik Szoboszlai \u2013 8.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was a positive influence at both ends of the field and has got an assist to show for his efforts.<\/p>\n

RW: Mohamed Salah \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Salah caused some problems for his marker and managed to score in the 89th minute.<\/p>\n

CAM: Florian Wirtz \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He struggled to get a foothold in the game and was replaced in the 82nd minute.<\/p>\n

LW: Cody Gakpo \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gakpo made two good chances in the final third but never looked like he would score.<\/p>\n

ST: Hugo Ekitike \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was a real handful for the Brentford defenders but failed to find the back of the net.<\/p>\n
