Manchester City clashed heads with Aston Villa at Villa Park earlier today as they hoped to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Mancunian giants made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 19th minute when Matty Cash found the back of the net. Pep Guardiola\u2019s men failed to mount a comeback and went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

Man City struggled to find the equaliser in the second 45 minutes and crashed to a tough 1-0 loss away from home.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Manchester City<\/a> player fared during the clash against the Villans.<\/p>\n

GK: Gianluigi Donnarumma \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made one solid save at the back but failed to keep a clean sheet this afternoon.<\/p>\n

RB: Matheus Nunes \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nunes performed his defensive duties well but offered very little in the opponent\u2019s half.<\/p>\n

CB: Ruben Dias \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He put his foot through the ball when he could and was a good presence on the ball.<\/p>\n

CB: John Stones \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Stones struggled to impress during his time on the field and was replaced at the hour mark.<\/p>\n

LB: Josko Gvardiol \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He did his fair share of defending, but it was not enough today.<\/p>\n

CDM: Tijjani Reijnders \u2013 5.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reijnders struggled to get a foothold in the game and was substituted in the 75th minute.<\/p>\n

CM: Phil Foden \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a lot of decent chances for others around him but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.<\/p>\n

CM: Bernardo Silva \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Silva worked hard but struggled to influence the game in the final third.<\/p>\n

RW: Oscar Bobb \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He came back to defend when needed and managed to shine at times on the right flank.<\/p>\n

LW: Savio \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Savio caused some problems for his marker but failed to register a goal.<\/p>\n

ST: Erling Haaland \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was not shy of having a strike at goal, but struggled to find the cutting edge up top.<\/p>\n
