In a recent report<\/a>, Fichajes stated that Manchester United are keen on recruiting Barcelona<\/a> forward Robert Lewandowski. It has been claimed that the Red Devils are showing interest in acquiring the services of the Polish striker next summer.<\/p>\n

Lewandowski\u2019s Decent Form In La Liga<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Lewandowski is having a good campaign at the Catalan club as he has put in a string of impressive displays for them up top. The Poland international has found the back of the net on four occasions in nine appearances for Barcelona this season across all fronts.<\/p>\n

The 37-year-old has led the line well for Barca as he is averaging 3.63 shots per 90 minutes in La Liga<\/a>. He has kept 42.9% of his attempts on target. Lewandowski has even distributed possession relatively well after making 78.1% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at the Nou Camp will expire at the end of this campaign. Hence, it makes sense for Man United to try and sign him on a free transfer next summer.<\/p>\n

Will Lewandowski Be A Good Fit For Manchester United Boss Ruben Amorim?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Lewandowski is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to create the odd chance for others around him in the final third and is a strong presence on the ball.<\/p>\n

The Polish talent can still be a consistent goal-scorer at the highest level when he is playing with confidence on the field. However, only time will tell whether he can replicate his good form in the Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lewandowski would bring more firepower to Man United<\/a> head coach Ruben Amorim\u2019s frontline. He is more than capable of earning a regular first-team spot at the Mancunian club next season.<\/p>\n

At 37, Lewandowski has entered the final stage of his playing career. Therefore, he would only serve as a short-term fix for Amorim\u2019s attacking concerns at Old Trafford. Still, there is no doubt that Lewandowski would be a great fit for Man United\u2019s needs in the short term.
