In a recent report<\/a>, journalist Fraser Fletcher revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are in the running to land Olympique Marseille winger Mason Greenwood. It has been stated that Spurs would have to compete with Barcelona and West Ham United in the race to sign the English wide player next year.<\/p>\n

Greenwood\u2019s Impressive Form In French Football<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Greenwood has enjoyed a fine run of form at the French club after he produced a run of impressive performances on the right side of their attack. The English talent has featured in 12 matches for Olympique Marseille this season, scoring eight goals and picking up four assists across all competitions.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old has given a good account of himself in the final third as he is averaging 3.37 shots per 90 minutes in Ligue 1<\/a>. He has kept 37.5% of his attempts on target. Greenwood has also been tidy when distributing possession in the opponent\u2019s half, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 78.6% in the French top tier (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at Marseille will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for Spurs to sign him on a cut-price deal next year.<\/p>\n

Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Thomas Frank Snap Greenwood Up?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Greenwood is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it in and around the opposition\u2019s penalty box. He can shoot the ball with venom from long range and has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third.<\/p>\n

The English sensation is primarily a right-winger but can also serve as a centre-forward if told to do so. He already knows the Premier League<\/a> well from his time at Manchester United<\/a> and won\u2019t take much time to adjust to life at Tottenham<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We can expect Greenwood to bring more quality and depth to Spurs head coach Thomas Frank\u2019s frontline. He has what it takes to compete for a regular starting spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.<\/p>\n
