Liverpool entertained Aston Villa at Anfield earlier tonight as they looked to secure a win at home in the Premier League. The Reds made a solid start to the game and got their noses ahead in the latter stages of the first half thanks to Mohamed Salah\u2019s finish. Arne Slot\u2019s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

Ryan Gravenberch scored with a deflected effort in the 58th minute as the contest finished with Liverpool securing a solid 2-0 victory at Merseyside.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Liverpool<\/a> player fared during the clash against the Villans.<\/p>\n

GK: Giorgi Mamardashvili \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a few solid saves at the back and did enough to earn a clean sheet.<\/p>\n

RB: Conor Bradley \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bradley performed his defensive duties well but struggled to influence the game going forward.<\/p>\n

CB: Ibrahima Konate \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a lot of crucial clearances inside his half and would be quite pleased with the clean sheet.<\/p>\n

CB: Virgil Van Dijk \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Van Dijk was a rock at the back and did enough to limit the opposition from scoring tonight.<\/p>\n

LB: Andy Robertson \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was a positive influence at both ends of the field.<\/p>\n

CM: Ryan Gravenberch \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gravenberch anchored the midfield with conviction and was a threat going forward. He scored Liverpool\u2019s second goal in the 58th minute.<\/p>\n

CM: Alexis Mac Allister \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He linked up play well with others around him and managed to secure an assist.<\/p>\n

RW: Mohamed Salah \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Salah caused all sorts of problems for his marker and managed to score after pouncing on Emiliano Martinez\u2019s mistake.<\/p>\n

CAM: Dominik Szoboszlai \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Szoboszlai put in a tireless shift and played some excellent passes during the game.<\/p>\n

LW: Cody Gakpo \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was always willing to run with the ball, but failed to register a goal.<\/p>\n

ST: Hugo Ekitike \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ekitike retained possession well for his team, but never looked like he would score.<\/p>\n
