Liverpool entertained Real Madrid at Anfield earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the UEFA Champions League. The Reds made a great start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.<\/p>\n

Alexis Mac Allister finally broke the deadlock in the 61st minute with a bullet header. The contest finished with Arne Slot\u2019s men earning a narrow 1-0 win at Merseyside.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Liverpool<\/a> player fared during the match against Los Blancos.<\/p>\n

GK: Giorgi Mamardashvili \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made one important save to deny Jude Bellingham in the first half. Mamardashvili was hardly tested otherwise and kept an important clean sheet tonight.<\/p>\n

RB: Conor Bradley \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bradley performed his defensive duties well and was a threat going forward.<\/p>\n

CB: Ibrahima Konate \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was a rock at the back and made one decent run with the ball.<\/p>\n

CB: Virgil Van Dijk \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Van Dijk dealt with the danger when needed and was a threat at the other end of the field.<\/p>\n

LB: Andy Robertson \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Robertson gave a good account of himself defensively and made one inviting chance in the final third.<\/p>\n

CM: Ryan Gravenberch \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a few crucial interceptions and covered a lot of ground inside his half.<\/p>\n

CM: Alexis Mac Allister \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mac Allister was a positive influence at both ends of the field and scored the only goal of the game with a good header in the 61st minute.<\/p>\n

CM: Dominik Szoboszlai \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He worked hard defensively and was always willing to have a strike at goal. Szoboszlai was denied by Courtois\u2019 brilliant shot-stopping but secured an assist for setting up Mac Allister\u2019s match-winner.<\/p>\n

RW: Mohamed Salah \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Salah was a constant menace in the final third and did everything but score tonight.<\/p>\n

ST: Hugo Ekitike \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was a real handful for the opposition defenders, but there was no goal for him.<\/p>\n

LW: Florian Wirtz \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wirtz made a handful of key chances for his teammates in the final third but never looked like he would score.<\/p>\n

Substitutes:<\/strong><\/p>\n

CM: Curtis Jones \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He kept the ball well in the latter stages of the game.<\/p>\n

ST: Cody Gakpo \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gakpo used his strength well in the final third.<\/p>\n

LW: Federico Chiesa \u2013 N\/A<\/strong><\/p>\n
