Inter Milan want to sign Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Serie A club wants to strengthen their defence, and hence they feel that Konsa will be a vital resource for them to rejuvenate the backline.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Premier League giants Liverpool also want Konsa if they are unable to sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace. The report goes on to add that Villa will ask around \u20ac35 million if any club shows serious interest in their 28-year-old centre-back. Unai Emery\u2019s team is well aware of his quality and is in no rush to offload him. So, we have to wait and see how the situation develops in the upcoming transfer windows.<\/p>\n

Villa are also looking to sign some players, as reports revealed that they are considering a move for Ansu Fati<\/a> if his loan at AS Monaco does not turn into a permanent transfer. Meanwhile, the West Midlands club wants to keep Morgan Rogers<\/a> and is reportedly in serious negotiations with him for a renewal.<\/p>\n

Should the Lions sell Konsa?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Ezri Konsa plays an extremely important role in Aston Villa\u2019s defensive solidity, and the club would suffer a significant loss if it entertained offers for him. Under Unai Emery, Konsa has developed into one of the Premier League\u2019s most consistent and reliable centre-backs, and his recent performances have attracted interest from Manchester City and Liverpool.<\/p>\n

Villa should not even consider selling him because losing him would push the team backwards. Konsa has acted as a rock in Villa\u2019s defence, particularly under Emery, starting eight of the first nine Premier League games of the 2025\u20132026 season and standing out as one of the team\u2019s best performers.<\/p>\n

The Englishman fully represents Emery\u2019s style, showing comfort on the ball and a strong football IQ, while his composure in possession and ability to play from the back support the team\u2019s tactical approach. The 28-year-old adds versatility and leadership, playing both centre-back and right-back, growing into a silent leader who steps up when key defenders are absent.<\/p>\n

In the 2023\u20132024 season, Konsa achieved the best tackle success rate in the Premier League among players with more than 50 tackles, proving his elite defensive skill. If Villa go on to sell Konsa, it would undermine the work Emery has built at the club, especially with Tyrone Mings still returning from a long-term injury and the team needing a reliable defensive core for both the Premier League and Europa League campaigns.<\/p>\n

Villa do not need to sell, and Konsa\u2019s long-term contract until 2028 strengthens the club\u2019s position while showing his commitment. Although top clubs admire his form, the Lions should refuse offers because Konsa remains a consistent, versatile, and mature defender who is central to Emery\u2019s system and the club\u2019s push for continued success.
