In a recent interview with Football Insider<\/a>, former Premier League scout Mick Brown revealed that Liverpool are keeping a keen eye on Brighton and Hove Albion winger Yankuba Minteh. Brown said,<\/p>\n

\u201cLiverpool are looking at a whole host of options.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you\u2019ve got a player like Minteh, who is performing consistently and doing well for a team like Brighton, there\u2019s always going to be interest in him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s built himself a strong reputation, and that always attracts interest from bigger clubs.<\/p>\n

\u201cLiverpool have been keeping an eye on his performances, because he plays in a position where they feel they may need to strengthen.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe thing is, Brighton are likely to demand \u00a3100million or something close to that for him.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt could be a long-term option, but it\u2019s more short to medium-term if they\u2019re looking for potential replacements for Salah, because he\u2019s 33 now.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe signed this new contract and everybody was very happy to keep him, and rightly so, but there have been a few concerns about his performances recently.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m sure he will get back on track, but Liverpool will have to be working to find his replacement because at some stage they will need to make a move.\u201d<\/p>\n

Minteh\u2019s Impressive Form In The Premier League<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The 21-year-old has caught the eye at times with his performances on the right side of Brighton\u2019s attack in this campaign so far. Minteh has registered one goal and picked up three assists in 11 matches for the Seagulls this season across various competitions.<\/p>\n

The Gambian talent\u2019s current contract at the American Express Community Stadium will run out in the summer of 2029. Hence, the Reds would have to make a big offer if they want to recruit Minteh next year.<\/p>\n

What Will Minteh Bring To Liverpool?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Minteh is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the pace to cause a lot of headaches for his marker out in the wide areas. He can strike the ball with power from long range and has got the eye to create some meaningful openings for his teammates in the final third.<\/p>\n

The Gambian sensation is primarily a right-winger but can also operate as a left-sided wide player if told to do so. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League<\/a> and won\u2019t take much time to adjust to life at Liverpool<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Minteh would bring more pace and firepower to Arne Slot\u2019s frontline. He is good enough to serve as an ideal long-term successor to Mohamed Salah at the Merseyside club.<\/p>\n
