Manchester City entertained Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Mancunian giants made a bright start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 29th minute thanks to Erling Haaland\u2019s effort. Nico Gonzalez doubled his team\u2019s advantage with a deflected strike in the latter stages of the first half as Man City went into the half-time break 2-0 up on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

Jeremy Doku scored his side\u2019s third goal with a great strike in the 63rd minute. Pep Guardiola\u2019s men ended up cruising to an impressive 3-0 win at the Etihad.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Manchester City<\/a> player fared during the clash against the Reds.<\/p>\n

GK: Gianluigi Donnarumma \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made one solid save at the back and earned a crucial clean sheet this evening.<\/p>\n

RB: Matheus Nunes \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nunes performed his defensive duties well and managed to secure an assist as well.<\/p>\n

CB: Ruben Dias \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He put his foot through the ball when he could and did enough to keep a clean sheet.<\/p>\n

CB: Josko Gvardiol \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gvardiol cleared the danger when needed and was accurate with his passing.<\/p>\n

LB: Nico O\u2019Reilly \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was a positive influence at both ends of the field and ended the game with an assist to his name.<\/p>\n

CM: Bernardo Silva \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Silva managed to shine with his performance at the centre of the park and did well to secure an assist.<\/p>\n

CM: Nico Gonzalez \u2013 8.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He anchored the midfield well and managed to score with a deflected strike in the dying embers of the first half.<\/p>\n

CM: Phil Foden \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Foden caught the eye at times, but there was no goal for him.<\/p>\n

RW: Rayan Cherki \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He couldn\u2019t take his chance in the first half and was replaced early in the second half.<\/p>\n

ST: Erling Haaland \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Haaland was a constant menace in the final third and did well to score the opener in the 29th minute. However, he missed a penalty early in the game.<\/p>\n

LW: Jeremy Doku \u2013 9.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Doku caused all sorts of headaches for the Liverpool defenders and scored a superb goal in the second half. He deserves the man of the match award.<\/p>\n

RW: Savinho \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He worked hard after coming off the bench.<\/p>\n

ST: Omar Marmoush \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n
