Speaking on GIVEMESPORT<\/a>\u2018s Market Madness podcast, respected journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Manchester United could launch a move for Atletico Madrid<\/a> midfielder Conor Gallagher. Romano said,<\/p>\n

\u201cConor Gallagher could be an opportunity, but Atletico Madrid didn\u2019t want to let him go in August. So let\u2019s see what happens in the January window. Angelo Stiller is also a player they appreciate from Stuttgart, but I don\u2019t see a German club selling one of the stars in the January window at all. So January is not going to be easy. It\u2019s going to be about opportunities in the summer could be different. And for sure, Manchester United in 2026 will add again, at least one midfielder.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gallagher\u2019s Impressive Form In La Liga<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The 25-year-old has put in a few impressive displays at the heart of Atletico Madrid\u2019s midfield this season. Gallagher has registered two goals in 16 matches for Diego Simeone\u2019s team in this campaign across all competitions.<\/p>\n

The Epsom-born talent has anchored the midfield well as he has made eight tackles, three blocks, eight interceptions and three clearances in La Liga<\/a>. He has also been tidy with his ball distribution after completing 88.2% of his attempted passes in the Spanish top tier (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at the Wanda Metropolitano will expire in the summer of 2029. Hence, Man United would have to make a big offer if they are serious about recruiting Gallagher next year.<\/p>\n

Will Gallagher Be A Good Fit For Manchester United?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Gallagher is a solid tackler of the ball and can make the odd interception for his team. He usually clears the danger when needed and is a tidy passer of the ball as well.<\/p>\n

The English sensation can even contribute by scoring some important goals for his team. He already knows the Premier League<\/a> well from his time at Chelsea and won\u2019t take much time to adjust to life at Man United<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Gallagher would no doubt inject more quality and depth into Ruben Amorim\u2019s squad. He is good enough to challenge for regular first-team football at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n
