In a recent report<\/a>, Fichajes claimed that Arsenal are eyeing a move for AC Milan winger Rafael Leao. It has been revealed that the Gunners are hoping to make a move for the Portuguese wide player in the January transfer window.<\/p>\n

Leao\u2019s Impressive Run Of Form In Serie A<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Leao has enjoyed a decent run of form at the Italian club this season as he has managed to produce a string of impressive displays for them on the offensive end of the field. The 26-year-old has found the back of the net five times and secured one assist in eight appearances for AC Milan in this campaign across various competitions.<\/p>\n

The Portuguese talent has proven his worth in the final third by averaging 2.58 shots per 90 minutes in Serie A<\/a>. He has kept 38.5% of his attempts on target. Leao has also been excellent when distributing the ball in the opponent\u2019s half, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 75.9% in the Italian first division (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current contract at the Italian club will run out in the summer of 2028. Hence, it won\u2019t be easy for Arsenal to get a deal done for him on the cheap next year.<\/p>\n

What Will Leao Add To Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta\u2019s Side?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Leao is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few dangerous runs with it out on the flanks. He has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the final third and can shoot the ball with power from long range.<\/p>\n

The Portuguese talent can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. Leao is primarily a left-winger but can also play as a striker down the middle if needed. However, there are some concerns over whether he can make a smooth transition to life in the Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We can expect Leao to add more firepower to Arsenal<\/a> head coach Mikel Arteta\u2019s frontline. He is more than capable of fighting for a regular starting spot at the Emirates Stadium.<\/p>\n
