In a recent report<\/a>, journalist Fraser Fletcher revealed that Manchester City are among the clubs hoping to sign Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Nathaniel Brown. It has been mentioned that the Mancunian giants would have to compete with Manchester United<\/a>, Newcastle United and Arsenal in the race to recruit the German defender next year.<\/p>\n

Brown\u2019s Impressive Run Of Form In The Bundesliga<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Brown has enjoyed a decent run of form at the Bundesliga club as he has put in a string of impressive displays on the left side of their backline. The 22-year-old has found the back of the net once and earned three assists in 15 matches for Eintracht Frankfurt this season across all competitions.<\/p>\n

The German talent has performed his defensive duties well and deserves credit for making 23 tackles, 11 blocks, seven interceptions and ten clearances in the Bundesliga<\/a>. He has even been careful when distributing possession from the left flank based on his pass completion rate of 82.4% in top-flight football (stats via fbref.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

His current deal at the German club will run out in the summer of 2030. Hence, Man City<\/a> would have to make a convincing offer if they want to recruit the German starlet next year.<\/p>\n

Should Manchester City Boss Pep Guardiola Go For Brown?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Brown is a tough-tackling full-back, who can time his challenges well to secure possession back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when required and is a tidy passer as well.<\/p>\n

The German talent can even chip in by scoring and creating a few crucial goals for his team from the left flank. Brown is primarily a left-back but can also fill in as a left-sided wide player if asked to do so. However, only time will tell whether he can maintain his good form in the Premier League<\/a> if Man City manage to bring him on board next year.<\/p>\n

We can expect Brown to bring more quality and depth to Pep Guardiola\u2019s defence. He is more than capable of earning a regular starting place at the Etihad Stadium in the coming years.<\/p>\n
